Terms
For everyone who uses 22 Stix to play or run pickup hockey.
What this is
22 Stix runs the roster for pickup hockey groups. Each group is run by its own organizer for that group's players, and it is free to use. Your spot in a game comes from the roster and the waitlist, not from this website.
Your account
You sign in with a code sent to the email address on your roster entry, or by text to your mobile once you have confirmed it. Keep both to yourself: a code is all anyone needs to sign in as you. Tell your organizer if your email or number changes.
Anyone 18 or older can start a group. Whoever starts one is its organizer: they decide who joins, and they finish signing in to organize with a code from an authenticator app as well.
Text messages
Game texts are optional. You ask for them by ticking the box when you join or on the welcome screen, then replying JOIN to the confirmation text. Expect usually three per game and never more than four: when the game opens, a reminder if you haven't replied, the confirmed roster, and when a spot opens up for you. If the organizer cancels a game you haven't said OUT to, you get one more text saying so. Sign-in codes you ask for are sent separately. How texts work.
Reply STOP to stop all texts, UNSTOP to start them again, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Fair use
Be decent to the other players. Your organizer can remove anyone from the group, and can correct RSVPs, positions and the roster. If a game is cancelled or short of players, the organizer decides what happens.
No guarantees
Hockey is a contact sport and you play at your own risk. The site is provided as is; reminders can be late or fail to arrive, so the game page is always the final word on who is in.
